We stumbled upon this beautiful location yesterday by a lucky coincidence ... Our apartment was very pleasant except for a TV we didn't miss anything in the new building. The dinner was very tasty ... good selection. The same also the breakfast (with a good selection) & not to forget the friendly and helpful staff. We liked it very much and we'd love to come back

The view of Saxon Switzerland from this place is simply unbelievable, as if from a balcony, a great panorama spreads out over 180 degrees. In addition, there is a beer garden and accommodation. Very beautiful

It's very crowded here on Sundays. We wanted to make a reservation and were told that would not work. When we got there, all tables in the restaurant were reserved. So how does that work ?!

Those who stop here have made the right decision. On the popular patio you can enjoy a wonderful view with fish rolls and beer. The prices are fair and there is nothing to complain about the service.

Sensational lentil soup !!! For this taste experience, the price, which is always criticized here in the reviews, is absolutely justified ... especially since the portion was more than sufficient. The toilets are actually special, but you can get through that. I would love to come back!

Only self-service, and also sporty prices, but the view there is also good to pay for! But it could be made more idyllic (nicer benches and tables, operation at the table, etc.) Toilets get a rating of 3-

Awesome view. Now self-service during the Corona period. It may well be that no table is free, but if you wait five minutes you can be lucky. The dishes are delicious, but the prices are quite sporty.

I was actually looking forward to staying here and enjoying the view the next day, but I am really disappointed with the accommodation. So the correspondence and the reservation was great, I have nothing to complain about, everything went great. We only showed up after 7 p.m. and got our key via a different route, very good! So we were really flexible. When we arrived and went into the room with our suitcases, we must have woken up all the other visitors, as the floor creaked at a volume ... indescribable. When we opened the room we got a really unpleasant smell. It turned out that the origin of this smell originated in the bathroom. Unfortunately you couldn't close the door because after a while the scent became so concentrated that you felt sick when you wanted to go to the toilet. Of course it wasn't a luxury room now, which I expected, but what is not understandable is that my girlfriend and I had to find out the next day that I caught the sagging mattress of both of us, where I felt the springs when I put it up. I could hardly sleep at all. Either it was very uncomfortable or a flood of the smell came over. The next day I wanted to take a shower, unfortunately the faucet was broken and I didn't want to switch from hot to cold either. Unfortunately we were a bit late for breakfast - 5 minutes. Either I unfortunately overread it when booking (can happen) but in principle we only wanted a coffee but this was no longer served to us with the words we are over time and otherwise would have had to buy one ... actually really cheeky when you think about it, after such a night and then for the price. It is of course cheap, but it is actually the most expensive offer that I have used in Saxon Switzerland. Since I now have some comparisons on my tour, I found it really bad.

We stayed in a great apartment for only one night on a multi-day hike. You could also spend several days here. Food, rooms and especially the view are great. The apartment is new and comfortably furnished.

The fire hut is located on the fire and is best reached on foot. A small amount of cars can only go there with a special permit. The view over the rocks of Saxon Switzerland is breathtaking. The possibilities for overnight stays are also good. Simple but perfectly adequate. From here you can go directly to the surrounding nature reserve.

Breathtaking view. Service is okay - the mega breakfast is clearly to be emphasized. Prices are higher, fine for the place. The rooms are newly renovated and equipped. Very nice to stay. However, from 7:00 p.m. you are alone without any staff.

Food & drinks are reasonably priced, there is also a good selection. The beer garden offers a breathtaking view over Saxon Switzerland and the Table Mountains. Incidentally, it is not called “the balcony of Saxon Switzerland” for nothing. Worth visiting!

You get to have an amazing view of the entire region from here. It's a quite far from most of the attractions but the view is worth it.

It‘s a nice 45 min’s walk from Hohnstein to that restaurant. The view is breathtaking and it‘s therefore called the terrace of the saxon switzerland and that‘s a very good description of that beautiful place. The ‚Hafersäcke‘ - a rock formation that looks like several oat sacks is near by. The restaurant itself offers good food for hungry hikers and you can stay overnight. Reservation is recommended, even if this spot isn‘t as crowded as the other highlights in Saxon Switzerland.

Very beautiful view. Even better is the view about 200 meters left in front of the building. Just go in the forest to the rock. There everything is secured with handrails. Magnificent view of the valley and part of the Elbe Sandstone area

Great view over the national park and the Lilienstein. Far too high prices for self-service and snacks-quality food. (Beer € 4), staff put on friendly without warmth. Overall, the Brand-Baude seems loveless. As a tourist magnet, where the majority of customers don't come back anyway, you probably don't have to make any more effort .... Three stars for the dog water bowl and the speed of food preparation.

Perfect place for a beer after a hike. Takes only cash!

Great food and awesome views

Nice views and a great restaurant. The lunch was delicious. Service was very friendly. In summer, a beautiful patio with great views of the mountains.

We had drinks and a lunch here with a big group. Service was fast and good, typical German kitchen. The toilets are outside the restaurant, which is weird. They were a bit fhilty as well.

Super stop with views over the Saxon Switzerland, on Königstein, Lilienstein etc. Food very good and rich, self-service! Ample seating outside as inside. Price level, however, is a bit higher, is probably the exposed location owed.

We love to go there. It may be a little crowded when there would be lots of hikers. But delicious food is served there and the view is amazing.
